2. Collection of Personal Data

At STARTSCHUSS, we collect primarily the personal data necessary to conclude and perform service contracts with you as a STARTSCHUSS customer. We reserve the right to collect such personal data from third parties and process it together with the other user data in accordance with this privacy policy. Users will be informed accordingly.
3. Purposes of Processing
At STARTSCHUSS, we process the collected personal data mainly to fulfill our contractual obligations and provide our services. All data processing occurs solely for specific purposes, which may arise from technical necessities, contractual requirements, legal regulations, overriding interests, i.e., legitimate reasons, or your explicit consent.
We collect, store, and process personal data as necessary, for example, for customer relationship management, service provision, order and contract processing, sales and invoicing, responding to questions and concerns, product and service information and marketing, technical support, and for the evaluation and development of services and products.
Website visits: For technical reasons, we need to collect and store certain data during visits to our website (date, visit duration, visited pages, used browser and its version, operating system and its version, IP address, and the referring website).
Contracts: For contractual reasons, we also need personal data (e.g., your contact details) to perform our services and conduct contractual relationships with you.
Newsletter/Marketing: To send our newsletter or customized advertising, we need an email address. Providing further information is voluntary. We use this data exclusively for sending newsletters or tailored advertisements (see Section 4).
Legal basis for processing: Where we seek consent from you for data processing operations, this consent serves as the legal basis under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Where the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, the contract serves as the legal basis under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. This also applies to processing necessary for pre-contractual measures, such as inquiries about our products or services.
If we are legally obliged to process personal data, such as to comply with tax obligations, processing is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
In cases of legitimate interests on our part or that of a third party, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Marketing and Newsletters
We only send you marketing and newsletters with your consent (opt-in). You can sign up to receive them on our website, thereby agreeing that we may evaluate user data collected for our own marketing and advertising purposes. This includes data provided orally, in writing, or electronically, as well as publicly accessible data and data from third parties. Based on this, we may create user segments (clusters) for targeted offers that meet user needs and enhance STARTSCHUSS services. User data, including clusters, is not shared with unauthorized third parties.
You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time, effective for the future, by notifying us. You can also withdraw newsletter subscriptions anytime via the link provided in each newsletter.

We use cookies to provide users with an efficient, user-friendly experience on our website and web services. Cookies are short text files stored on the user's device, used to analyze site usage and recognize the user's browser.
We automatically save, among other things, users' IP addresses and browser information. Based on this information, anonymous usage statistics are created, enabling us to customize our offerings to the user.

6. Web Analytics Tools
To continuously improve our offerings and ensure our website and services are user-friendly, we use technologies that allow us to analyze usage. These evaluations, conducted anonymously and exclusively for statistical purposes, help us understand how many users visit our website and services and in what ways. Users can object to this data collection.
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc., a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. in the USA. Your anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. In rare cases, the full IP address is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google states that in no case will the IP address be associated with other user data.
7. Additional Third-Party Services on Our Website
To provide excellent service on our website, we use the following third-party services:
- Google Maps: Used to display a map of our company location.
- Google Fonts: Fonts provided by Google.
- Mapbox: Used to display additional information (layers) on the map.
- Kununu: Used to show our company’s employer ranking and employee feedback.
8. Disclosure of Personal Data and Outsourcing
We do not disclose personal data to third parties without the customer’s consent, except where legally required to disclose information to authorities.
We may outsource data processing to external contractors, ensuring data protection and security. Contractors are obligated to process data only as permitted and not use it for their own purposes or disclose it to third parties.
Data processing may occur outside the EU and Switzerland, with additional guarantees to ensure compliance with data protection, particularly through contractual obligations of contractors.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data, especially against loss, destruction, falsification, or unauthorized access.
Data is transmitted in encrypted form using Transport Layer Security (TLS). STARTSCHUSS assumes no liability for the security of information transmitted over the internet, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Retention and Deletion of Data
We retain users’ personal data as long as required by applicable laws or for the purposes for which it was collected. We delete personal data once it is no longer needed and, in any case, after the expiration of the maximum retention period prescribed by law.

Under Swiss Data Protection Law (DSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights as a user:
